SmartFlyer is a full-service luxury travel agency built for experienced or refined travelers. They specialize in creating exceptional experiences around the world through curated recommendations and continuous boots-on-the-ground research activated by decades of trusted relationships.
The goal of their new website is to transport the prospective traveler to each partner’s lavish, curated experience, selling the fantasy while providing all the necessary information for them to confidently book their trip.
The website is composed of three main sections:
A major feature of their website is the Destinations tab. We developed this page to feature the most popular travel destinations, including all the tips and details a prospective traveler could be looking for. Each destination includes all the partners and reviews associated automatically, reducing friction when searching for a particular partner or destination, creating the most efficient experience.
Partner pages now include new and improved navigation. Also, we now have tabs for the following content: property contacts, property specifics, booking + commission details, offers and training, marketing material, agent reviews, and articles.
Every partner page now offers the most updated information making it easier for travelers to identify and compare properties, decide between them and inform their travel advisors which ones they prefer.
Reviews are crucial for SmartFlyer's business, that’s why we now let agents check in after a stay more easily. Every review gets automatically attached to the partner page that is referenced and also to the agent page. Every agent has their review moderated so we don't have any non-approved review automatically uploaded.
When starting the redesign the biggest obstacle we faced was the large amount of partners and review and the lack of constancy between the information in the interface.
First, we started by defining the structure for all the pages of the product, including all new features and sub-sections, analyzing the current user interface creating new flows to ensure a consistent and user-friendly layout.
Once we completed the main structure, we recreated the key site pages in static format applying the new branding and visuals for the site, ensuring that the design language and system harmonized and integrated with Smartflyer’s new brand guidelines. Simultaneously we collaborated with SmartFlyer's internal team to create all new assets and upload all new profiles to the backend for the partners and reviews.
At this stage we went ahead with the front end development of the interface of the site. In this part of the process we followed closely with the developers to ensure that all specs from the design were properly implemented and all bugs were being corrected.
Once all QA was completed we did a public release of the site.
Site traffic increased by 30%. In addition, the maintenance process was streamlined cutting the time it takes the client’s to update copy and content in half.
After the final updates are pushed by December 2022, 250 partners are planned to be onboarded to the new autonomous system with a yearly contract that will bring 3X the annual revenue to the company.
